The Chatham County Waste Management Division (WMD) works to promote environmentally sound activities and provide a clean, safe, and efficient program for the management, collection, reduction/recycling and disposal of solid waste.
Our offices are located at 720 County Landfill Road, six miles west of Pittsboro off Hwy 64. The Waste Management Division (WMD) through the twelve collection centers and other programs manages approximately 1/3 of the solid waste generated in Chatham County.  What's New >  SWAC meeting 2/6/08 > New "mini" recycling center
